Louisville Preschool Screening

Designed to provide families with information on their preschool child's general development, vision, and hearing. The screenings are for 3 year old and 4 year old preschool children and will be held on Thursday, March 8th, and Friday, March 9th at the Main Street Education Center. Register by calling 330-875-7625.

These preschool children will be screened in the areas of speech and language, pre-academic, motor, social skills, vision and hearing. Parents will be asked to complete a developmental history/profile form on each child screened.

The children will participate in a play-like setting with 7 to 8 other children for approximately 60 to 90 minutes. Parents are asked to wait for their children. An area with resources and refreshments will be provided.

After the screening, an Individual Child Profile will be sent to parents with activities and resources that can be utilized by Louisville families. Follow-up and referral services will be provided to families of any child in need of additional services.

This screening is funded through the Louisville City Schools Department of Special Education, as a service to the Louisville community.

NEO All-Star member looking for sponsors

Introducing a phenomenal program for young people in your backyard. The Northeast Ohio All-Star Cheer and Dance teams are based in North Canton, Ohio and involve over 150 students from ages 4 to 18. Founded in 1992, this program consists of competitive all-star cheerleaders and dancers who represent more than 20 different school districts in the state of Ohio.

Paige Rich from Louisville is a member of the NEO All-Stars. Since 1992, the NEO All-Stars have won over 500 National Championship Team and Individual Titles. NEO was honored by American Cheerleader Magazine as one of the Top 20 Programs in the country. As you can see, they are well known and recognized everywhere. The senior level 5 team, Panthers, has been invited to the 2012 Worlds Event in Orlando, Florida this April! All sponsored monies would need to be donated prior to March 31, 2012!

NEO's primary purpose is to provide a healthy physical outlet, teach independence, help form dedicated, disciplined and responsible young people while teaching the importance of teamwork and leadership. These athletes are given this opportunity in a fun learning environment while traveling throughout the country performing for collegiate and professional sporting events as well as competing on a national level! NEO is considered one of the top cheerleading programs in the country! In 1996, they performed at the summer Olympic Games in Atlanta. Since then, they have been recognized nationally in American Cheerleader Magazine and Time Magazine. Other highlights include collegiate half-timne exhibitions and spotlight performances for the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Cleveland Crunch and the Cleveland Indians.

To be a part of this program, the financial commitment can be taxing. Any donation you can or would be willing to make will be used to help the team reach their Worlds destination. Donations are tax deductible and would be greatly appreciated.
